The Quest 2’s design refines the original's aesthetic, replacing the black, fabric-covered exterior with a sleek white plastic shell and a comfortable black facial interface. At just 503 grams (17.7 ounces), it is noticeably lighter than the first-generation model. The newly introduced fabric-based head strap enhances comfort and durability, while the repositioned power button on the side of the headset offers more intuitive access.
Optimization
Under the hood, the Oculus Quest 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 system-on-chip—purpose-built for VR and AR applications—paired with 6 GB of RAM, up from 4 GB in the original. The Quest 2 delivers stunning visuals through a single fast-switch LCD panel with a resolution of 1832×1920 per eye and supports a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, a significant upgrade from the Quest’s 72 Hz.
